When You Left

When you left, I cried a tear
I'd felt the greatest pain
No one tried to dry my eyes
Tears lost within the rain

Had it been some other time
Or in some other place
Someone might have been around
To dry my tear-stained face

All the love, and all the pain
Are bottled up inside
You're the only one who sees
The place my feelings hide

So, to thee, I bid farewell
Until some other time
When we can be together
And, once again, you're mine
